Easter Celebration

Had a wonderful time today with all the famcamp families. The children had a seperate activity where they made their own Easter buskets out of disposable paper plates and watched Veggie Tales the Easter Carol. The adults spent the hour watching the Polished Arrow by Jeff Cavins and shared their personal experiences of what A Polished Arrow meant to them in their current lifes. We came back together has a family and fellowshipped over a huge spread of food. The kids too had a treasure hunt, looking for slips of paper with questions of our faith. Each child had to answer the question before they could get an Chocolate Easter Egg.

We’re really excited, we have 9 confirmed families  with 1 more on the way. Together with the FLM team, we have 15 families going for this camp…that is over 50 people attending this camp. Awesome! Praise the Lord //.

Lets continue to keep everyone in our prayers. Remember to pray at 9pm everyday this week for the success of the camp.

Remember we meet Friday 13th at 9am in Church. See you.

Another successful. Over 95 people attended this 2 hr session by Bro Collin Wee. Bro shared with us valuable information on what teens needs and wants.

After Bro Collins talk. We had another power speaker – Gen Chye, principle at Monfort Junior and a senior member of Hosanna Music Ministry spoke about influences of today’s music and what else is out there for teens. Very insightful. She showed videos obtained from Youtube and shared how these media are availble to our children.

Love Dare

Last Saturday’s screening of Fireproof was wonderful. Around 80 people turned up to watch the movie screened at the Attic. The kids were brought to a kindergarten classroom where Janice and Agnes kept the kids busy with Easter craft.

Fr Andrew started the event with an open speech and a prayer. Jo and Pete shared about the Family life ministry. The movie was than screened for about 120mins. A powerful and touching story of a couple in the midst of marrital trouble seeking divorce and how through a love dare the couple found Jesus and their relationship.

After the movie, couples were invited to do a short reflection. They were then treated to some light refreshments outside the Attic. When they returned, couples Ivy and Harold shared about ME and the next Encounter weekend. Dominic and Prisca continued by sharing their powerful and life changing experience during their weekend.  The event ended with Fr Andrew getting couples to renew their marital vows. He and sister also renewed  their vocational vows.
